Hello Junior Statesmen,
I remember my freshman year in JSA vividly. I looked up in awe at the then Lieutenant Governor and Governor, of our new state, BVDH and Senthu. For me, they established JSA as a dignified legitimate organization that I began to love and respect. I came from Fall State with butterflies in my stomach—dazzled by the opportunity it gave me to speak my mind. In every way, as evidenced by the work of Sruti and Rita, the leaders of JSA make it what it is. A leader must have dedication, work ethic but most importantly compassion. Alice Xiang is probably one of the most hard working and compassionate JSAers I have ever encountered. The stresses that those doing the behind the scenes work in JSA under go can be intolerable at times. However, I know, by her work in the ECCAD department, that Alice handles pressures effortlessly. She always turns things in on time and follows through with her tasks thoroughly.
JSA is built on communication. With student living all over the Ohio River Valley state, it takes great communication skills and prompt responses to get information across. Not only does Alice do an excellent job of communicating eloquently, but she also promptly responds to ANY phone calls or emails. She, both intelligent and patient, is a pleasure to work with. Alice has an enduring spirit, which cannot help but make you smile. She has an unwavering ability to get her work done and do it with poise, charisma and sincere motivation. I am sure that as LTG next year, she will inspire scores of our peers to love JSA as much as she does. Support Alice Xiang for JSA Ohio River Valley Lt. Governor. She’ll get the job done better than par!
Sincerely,
Nevin Rao
ECCAD Co-Director
I have known Alice Xiang for five years now and I am still amazed at her commitment and perseverance in every category. From running cross-country to academics, she has displayed a willingness to go farther and do more than anyone I have had the pleasure of meeting.
After losing a substantial portion of our members to graduation, she reinvigorated our chapter, leading to the highest level of participation in years. More impressively, Alice managed to do this without becoming imperialistic, but by personally asking her fellow members what they wanted from JSA and building a chapter for its members. In the single year that she has been our president, JSA has changed from a group that overvalued its reputation and undervalued its junior members to a place where anyone can experience politics and debate in an open environment. I am confident that she can and will help to steer the ORV through the next year as an attentive ambassador of the people.
I’m not trying to say that Alice is perfect, but she knows how to combine the right people in the right way at the right time. She doesn’t pretend to know everything, but she knows who knows. This is not the time for egotism or grandiose speeches; this is the time for action. The ORV is expanding and, as a collective, we must keep our momentum. Alice Xiang will undoubtedly work toward and accomplish this goal with the fervor and humility that she has exuded throughout her life. As a third-year member of JSA, I would be proud to leave the ORV in such capable hands.

Senior Member of the Dobyns-Bennett Chapter
Hello, I'm Katherine Olecki and I am endorsing Alice Xiang for Lieutenant Governor of the ORV. Although I met Alice only three months ago at the PNC (Presidential Nominating Convention), we have kept in touch, and I have learned that Alice is not only experienced to run JSA, but qualified. Alice has held countless positions of leadership such as: Chapter President of Dobyns-Bennet High School, Hillary Clinton at PNC, and presently serves as an ECAD agent. Alice has the determination and leadership skills needed to serve a vital role in the Junior State.
Last year, 2/3 of Dobyns-Bennet chapter had graduated, leaving dismal amounts of money in their banking account, and many internal problems. Alice quickly raised 5,000 dollars within a span of three months and brought order to the chapter. She even increased her chapter by 30 people! Alice is the kind of leader we need for JSA.
In conclusion, please vote Alice Xiang for LTG! Your vote will not be wasted.
